Fulfil vow of N100m grant, Libya returnees beg Obaseki


Some ilegal migrants repatriated back to Nigeria from Libya have begged Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo to keep to his promise and give out the N100m for 150 hectares of land he promised.

They begged the state governor to give out the 100m for 150 hectares of land in the state.

Part of the repatriated victims made this statement when they were interviewed on Thursday.

The Edo state government Late last year 2017 arranged two weeks preparing program on different parts of farming to some parts of the illegal migrants.

The victims, who now hopes on the fund were trained on various parts of farming including poultry, fishery and harvest planting.

After the trained programme the governor of edo state Obaseki approved a grant of 100m with another grant of land and see to the repatriated victims.

The representative said that the State Agricultural Program would work with the returnees for the execution of the work.

Meanwhile, part of the returness asked the governor to fast track the implementation of the programme to avoid any emotional break down between the returnees.

"We are presently loosing hope in the programme as two month is gone without any further implementation after the trained programme.
