Kaduna state Police on Friday charged a medical attendant, Agulana Ndidi, and Yakubu Lina to Kaduna Magistrates ' Court over an endeavor to sell off a new born baby.
The two women were accused of criminal case while trying to sell of the baby, which is punishable under section 59 and 213 of the Code Laws in Kaduna , 2017 .
The Charged, Mr Moses , told the court that the incident was reported by Komolafe Abiodun of Malali , Kaduna State.
Moses said when the accused women were captured and cross examined , Ndidi was found to have plotted with Yakubu Lina , who is the mother of the baby , to offer the new baby for money.
The prosecutor included that the child , however , lost his live in the conspiracy and the two Accused women took the body of the infant to a stream to dispose in Kaduna state.
He clarified that the nurse and Yakubu Lina were captured while trying to dispose the baby in a stream.
The two ladies , however , argued not blameworthy and the justice Mr Emmanuel Yusuf , released them on bail in the total of N50 , 000 each with one guarantor.
The justice said the guarantor must live within the court envirommnet while the case was adjourned till feb15.
