As the issue if petrol scarcity escalates, information via the Nigerian Presidency Twitter account revealed the country's Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo will celebrate his Christmas by visiting fuel depots in Lagos Today to monitor the loading of trucks and to ensure steady supply of petrol to designated filling stations.
This was made known by the official twitter handle of the Presidency Nigeria, @NGRPresident, in Abuja.
The tweet read: “This morning the Vice-President is visiting fuel depots in Lagos to monitor the loading of trucks, and to ensure distribution is going on without a hitch.’’
It should be recalled that Vice-President, Osinbajo on Christmas Eve yesterday had made an unexpected call at some filling stations at Lekki area and Lagos Island to see things for himself.
The Vice President in a statement said it was such a shame that Christmas will be celebrated with this sort of discomfort.
The Vice President also revealed the Buhari administration is doing everything possible to bring an end to the fuel shortages experienced by Nigerians.
President Muhammadu Buhari had also sympathized with Nigerians over the scarcity of petrol in the country on Sunday and assured it will end soon.
