Latest information coming in from Mr Tayo Aboyeji, who happens to be the South-West Chairman of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, has confirmed that there are massive loading of petrol ongoing at different depots in Lagos state.
Aboyeji, with assurance confirmed to Nigerians that the scarcity of petrol would end in the next two days.
He said; “I am glad to tell you that the product is now available and today, being Christmas holiday, tanker drivers are waiting to collect the product."
He also confirmed that Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is now making use of Major Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) tank farms to distribute petrol as it will help get the product to different locations at a faster rate.
He further added that petroleum is been transported out of depots to filling stations across the country.
He said; “To make it quicker, NNPC is also using Folawiyo depot, Aiteo and NIPCO depots and I can tell you that the rate at which loading is taking place now, the crisis will soon be over."
The Chairman however, denied tho allegations of some of his members diverting petrol as he said it was impossible since they were monitored to their destinations.
He also advised Nigerians to stop panic buying and hoarding of petrol at home because of it danger.
