The clash in African country, Sudan seems to be coming to an end as the South Sudan's SPLA-In Opposition (SPLA-IO) in a public announcement declared a ceasefire.
The ceasefire is being attributed to the ongoing talks on the revitalisation of the peace agreement going on in Ethiopia.
Information from the faction leader and first Vice-President, Taban Deng Gai has it that the forces have been given instructions to cease hostilities while discussion proceed in Addis Ababa.
A spokesman for the SPLA-IO, Dickson Gatluak also confirmed the ceasefire as he also said all their units across the country had been told to suspend military operations.
He further said the forces in Jonglei, Upper Nile and Equatoria had however been instructed to remain in their respective stations in honour of the peace talks.
Colonel Gatluak has also called on the other warring parties to also issue orders for a ceasefire to all their forces to give room for peace.
He said; “The other armed forces like the groups led by (Riek) Machar, General (Thomas) Cirilo and others have to make sure they cease the hostilities.''
