- Indian woman denied visa to UK for high proficiency in English language
- The immigration authority doubted the true view of her certificate
While some Visa applicants are not granted Visa to the UK because of their low proficiency in English language, here is a woman who was not granted Visa because of her high proficiency in English language.
This is the story of how the visa application of an Indian woman was rejected by immigration authorities in the United Kingdom because of her English-language proficiency is much higher than what is needed by the immigration department.
The Indian woman identified as Alexandria Rintoul via a Facebook post revealed she passed an advanced version of the International English Language Testing System, but the visa requirement is for a much easier exam.
According to a Home Office spokeswoman during a chat with BBC, she said for some applicants for visas to settle in the UK, they needed to pass an English language test at an approved centre as stated and specified in the immigration rules.
She said Rintoul failed to abide by immigration rules and also failed to submit the necessary supporting evidence for her application.
The Immigration revealed the application was denied on the grounds she refused to follow immigration rules and to aid her she was asked to pass requisite English exam as it said the IELTS certificate provided by the Indian woman is not an IELTS certificate acceptable for UKV.
Rintoul via her post on Facebook said the immigration department doubted the true view of her certificate in English since she was coming from a country which is not part of the majority English-speaking countries.
