- Tragedy hit Japan as 11 people die in a fire outbreak
The Fire according to Police reports broke out at a home which caters for elderly people with financial difficulties.
Extract from shots on TV screen showed the three-storey building go up in flames as firefighters battled to wade off the fire. However, aftermath of the fire showed a blackened side of the building, with a fallen roof owing to the effect of the fire.
The eleven dead people from the scene of incident include eight men and three women, who were among the sixteen occupants of the building located in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and managed by a local organisation.
However, police source revealed investigations were ongoing on the identities of the victims.
A local police officer identified as Kenji revealed five people managed to escaped, out of the five, three which include two men and one woman got injured and have been rushed rushed to hospital.
Police revealed probe was ongoing as to what caused the Fire.
