EPL: Liverpool now third place on the table with 2 points behind Manchester United
English football club, Liverpool are now at the third place on the English Premier League table with two points behind rival, Manchester United after they had a 2-0 victory against Southampton yesterday.
The duo of Liverpool best, Mhamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored one goal each giving the Jurgen Klopp’s side a big victory at St Marys Stadium.
Salah and Firmino worked hand in hand as the former paved way for the club opening goal as Firmino scored the goal and the Brazilian was to later returned the assist with a sublime back-heel which gave Salah a goal.
Looking at the table showed that Liverpool now have 54 points.
In another news, Manchester United has failed to meet up with league leaders Manchester City over the 1-0 defeat to the Newcastle United, who managed to evade relegation.
Presently, Manchester City have 16 points difference away from United, which is the second team on the league table. City needs six more wins and they are on their way to be crowned champions of England for this season.
