CHAN: Nigeria beat Sudan 1-0, face Morocco in final
Nigeria thrashed Sudan 1-0 in the semi final and have now qualify to face Morocco in the final match of the African Nations Championship on Sunday.
Nigeria international Gabriel Okechukwu gave his side the triumph.
No1 Goalkeeper Ikechuku Ezenwa was harmed in the 10th minute, constraining Nigeria right hand mentor Salisu Yusuf, who is accountable for the CHAN 2018 task, to bring in Plateau United keeper Dele Ajiboye.
Nigeria began the more grounded side and scored in the 16th minute. Anthony Okpotu flicked on a go from the midfield which Okechukwu changed over effectively.
The Sudanese developed into the match however were precluded by the heroics from securing Ajiboye, while the Eagles squandered opportunities to expand the score.
In the second 45min of play, Sudan kept on assaulting with Nigeria having a modest bunch of chances. Meanwhile, in the 59th minute Ifeanyi received a red card, for a second foul on his opponent.
Sudan neglected to utilize the numerical favorable position. However, the North Africans were diminished to 10 men in the 86th minute when Bakri Bachir was sent off for a foul.
A late effort in the added time by Sudan was obstructed by Ajiboye for a triumph for the Eagles.
