Man electrocuted to death while cutting firewood in Jigawa


A trader Mr Mamman, was electrocuted on Thursday, while trading his business by cutting a fallen tree around a certain high tension wire in Jigawa State.

Jigawa Police PRO, SP Abdu Jinjiri, told journalist that Mamman, is a resident of Duhuwa town in Kiyawa neighborhood government region.

Abdu stated: "The case was reported to the police command on Friday that one mamman a resident of kiyawa LG have been electrocuted while cutting a fallen tree around high tension wire in the community.

"The authorities of PHCN were called and a group of police watch group moved to the scene and withdrew the corpe from the area.

"Mamman corpse was taken to Kiyawa Primary Healthcare Center for Doctor's check up."

As indicated by the representative, after he was affirmed dead the victim corpse was given to his relatives for burial rites.

Furthermore, Residents in the area have been warned to stay off high tension area to avoid disastrous incident.

Until his death, Mamman was identified as a good man, hard working, God fearing by family and friends in the community.

Burial Arrangement have been made according to Islamic rites, while neighbours and families prayed for the victim
