A 38 year old herbalist named Emmanuel Chigozie, has been captured in the Nyanya zone of abuja for supposedly selling off an infant to a female customer for N650,000.
Journasit gathered that Chigozie, otherwise called Akuchi, was captured by agents of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and the DSS on Saturday following quite a while of observation.
As per NAPTIP, chigozie, who hails from Enugu State, supposedly give herbs to his female customers who were looking to wind up plainly pregnant and from that point offered to sell other customers new born babies to them.
The herbalsit was said to be the director of Akuchi Herbal Concept in Abuja.
Our journalist revealed that a lady, who was Chigozie's customer and offered him a substantial amount of money for a child, was captured by the police at a checkpoint in Minna Niger State, a little while back.
The lady, whose name couldn't be determined, was allegedly found with the infant, who was suspected not to be her child.
In view of the police's doubt, the lady was arrested and upon investigation she admitted that Chigozie sold the new born baby to her .
Newsmen gathered that the lady admitted to be Chigozie's client and asserted that the man gave her a few herbs for her barrenness.
