Daura urges President Buhari to resign as petroleum minister


Muhammadu Buhari's Supporter, Alhaji Ibrahim Daura, has advised him to step down as the current Petroleum Minister and focus on his obligation as the No1 citizen and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Ibrahim Daura who is additionally a leader of the All Progressives Congress, in Katsina State, while attending to an interview with newsmen in Kaduna, said the seat in aso rock was exceptionally challenging and required full strength of the President to prepare on the way forward of nigeria.

He clarified that the oil sector was an extremely delicate one, including that it was the backbone of the country's economy that should have been taken care of by experts who will focus on the job for the sake of Nigerians

Daura included that after buhari was sworn in as the president of FRN, he has not visited any of the refineries in the nation to checkmate the way forward on the nations petroleum sector and draft a new policy on how to improve the sectors.

"It is disheartening that Ibe Kachiku the current minister of state petroleum is a legal counselor and won't have the basic knowledge to deal with the issues of the oil sector.

"We as a whole knows that 80% of our income originates from the oil sector and if we don't take appropriate care of the service, the nation may be tossed into confusion.

We have various types of professionals who can handle the petroleum ministry more than him (Buhari) with the likes of Obaseki, Tam David west.
