Boko Haram: Borno closes roads as troops storm Sambisa forest
Borno state authorities has restricted car movement on three noteworthy streets because of the continuous military work operation against the Boko Haram agitators.
Commissioner of Home Affairs, Dr Bukar Bulama in an announcement on Monday revealed that the restrictions would be between January 30 and February 4.
He recorded the influenced streets as Konduga Bama Banki; Bama Gwoza and Maiduguri, Damboa Gwoza.
Bukar said that the activity depended on the guidance of the Theater Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole.
He stated that the measures was basic to avert escaping Boko Haram militant getting away military hostile in the Sambisa Forest from penetrating the groups.
"However, This is to advise the overall population that, from 30th January and fourth February 2018, regular citizen car movement on Konduga, Bama Banki, Bama Gwoza and Maiduguri from Moloi axis– Damboa Gwoza street is thus restricted.
This move is made in light of a legitimate concern for security of life and property of native of the state, in view of counsel of the Theater Command, Operation Lafiya Dole.
Bukar lamented burdens the small ban may cause and rehashed duty of the legislature to the assurance of lives and property.
The chief approached the general population to be vigilante and report suspicious developments or people in their groups to security organizations.
