Barcelona's new signing Dembele has been sidelined for a month after sustaining another injury against Real sociedad on Sunday.
Dembele sustained the injury after he was called on to the pitch in barca Sunday' s 4 - 2 win away to Real Sociedad in the league.
The damage is quite different to the hamstring injury that ruled him out for sixteen weeks.
" After the match against Real Sociedad , Dembele sustained another injury in his left thigh and tests have affirmed that the player has will be ruled out for one month following the injury damage on the player.
" Barcelona said in an announcement posted on their site .
" The damage will mean he will be out for at least one month . "
Dembele is now a doubt for a first leg round of 16 game against Chelsea in the Uefa champions league cup at Stamford bridge on Feb 20.
Dembele just returned from a three month injury this month, after sustaining a hamstring injury last October.
The injury issues have frustrated the start of his playing career at Barcelona following his 105-million - euro $124 million transfer move from Borussia Dortmund in August that could increase to 145 million euros.
Barca additionally said that Andres Iniesta " has an issue on his left leg and his treatmemt will determine his return to the club. "
