Why we were beaten by Bristol city-- Mourinho

Jose Mourinho Manchester United head coach, has asserted that Bristol City were "fortunate", after they beat his side 2-1 to fit the bill for the semi-last of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Joe Bryan's goal was cleared off by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's wonderful free kick, before Korey Smith got the champ in the diminishing seconds of the match.

Bristol City will now play Manchester City in the last four.

"They (Bristol City) were somehow fortunate. In any case, they battled a considerable measure to be fortunate. They won when everybody was sitting tight for our goal.

"It's a delightful day for a football. The group from the lower division won. I don't need individuals to think me saying they are fortunate to be the primary concern. I am cheerful for them.

"In the final-half after the goal we were the best group, we responded well. For them it's a major night, in this club we know how to win and we know how to lose. We wish them fortunes in the semi-final of the league.

"It was one more day in the workplace and for some of our players they presumably would not like to come into the workplace today," Mourinho stated.
