- Burna Boy to be charged to court on Monday
Controversial Nigerian star singer, Damini Ogulu better referred to as ‘Burna Boy’, finally submitted himself to the Lagos State Police Command after weeks of hot search of the singer by the Nigerian Police.
The singer head to the Police station to reveal his side of the story in respect to his alleged involvement in a robbery attack case on a fellow artiste, Mr. 2kay.
Burna boy was immediately arrested, interrogated and detained by the Police and will be charged to court come Monday alongside four other members of the gang who were arrested earlier.
According to the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, following interrogations by the police said the State Police Command has zero tolerance for any form of crime and would not deter from prosecuting anyone found culpable of any criminal offence perpetrated in the state.
The commissioner said everyone would get the same treatment as no one enjoys special privileges and affirmed that anyone embroiled in the case will be made to face the law to clear his or her name or face prosecution.
Pop musician, Burna Boy had been earlier declared wanted by the Lagos Police Command in relation to the robbery attack on fellow musician, Mr. 2kay.
Burna Boy was implicated in the case when the gang leader of the suspected robbers, Tunmise Omotore, had confessed to the police on how they had disguised as room service to rob Mr. 2kay on the instruction of Burba Boy’s Road Manager, Joel Kantiock.
