Count down to Russia 2018 world cup, the Nigerian team is getting ready as it is scheduling friendly matches to keep the team fit and prepared for the game.
The Super Eagles friendly match with England is now confirm as the latter National team have lined up a Wembley friendly against Nigeria as part of their World Cup preparations.
Nigeria's Super Eagles will be one of two opponents to play England while the other country is likely to be against a Latin American National team before the final departure to Russia.
The Football Association in charge of England Football wants it side to face an African opposition to get the English team prepared ahead of their World Cup opener against Tunisia in Volgograd come 2018.
England had at first considered facing Ghana or Senegal but England chose Nigeria owing to the popularity of the Nigerian national team.
However, England will only make the announcement official once the second friendly match has been confirmed.
Immediately after playing the two friendly matches, Coach Gareth Southgate and his squad will fly to to their training base in Repino, a town just north of St Petersburg, towards the Finnish border in Russian.
England is expected to play Tunisia at Volgograd , Panama at Nizhny Novgorod and Belgium at Kaliningrad during the 2018 competition.
