- Comedian, I Go Dye says most youths don't go into the public service because of pensioners are treated
Nigerian comedian born Francis Agoda, generally known as I Go Dye, in his usual vocal manner has spoken about corruption in Nigeria.
The comedian, during an award tagged “Making a Difference Against Corruption Today”, revealed youth don't go to public office or service because of the level of corruption and suffering of pensioners they see.
He said “I want to again remind us that the issue of corruption faced by pensioners is the highest form of ill-treatment any body can get; for the government to deny them their benefits is unimaginable in a society like ours that has no social welfare package for elderly people.
He further said; “Everyone should speak out now for their comfort, as this is one of the reasons young people do not go into public service, and when some finally get employed they see it as an avenue to steal public funds in order to preserve them against foreseeable situations facing pensioners across the nation.
He ended with a prayer saying “May God bless Nigeria and keep all the pensioners alive, to eat the fruits of their labour”.
I Go Dye had earlier on confronted former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who decamped from the APC to the PDP, for using the Nigerian youth as a motive to drive his ambition for the presidential seat prior to the 2019 general elections.
