General Martial court established in Maiduguri , Borno State , has condemned a gallant serving soldier in Operation Lafiya Dole, Lance Corporal John Godwin , to death .
The martial court condemned Godwin to death for murdering five rescued citizens in the Yamteke territory of Borno State after report on the incident.
This is similarly as some different gallant soldiers were imprisoned by the court for different offenses extending from murder to unlawful ownership of guns and ammo .
The warrior was accused of murder , which is culpable under Section 106 (a ) of Armed Forces Acts ( Cap A 20 ) , Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN ) 2004 .
