Tottenham coach, Mauricio Pochettino has clarified why his side lost to Juventus in the Champions League second leg game on Wednesday.
Pochettino team suffers tragedy at Wembley as two strikes in three minutes saw Italian club Juventus advance with a 4-3 total win.
Pochettino said Tottenham were the better side throughout the two legs yet revealed that "two major errors" cost his group a place in the last-eight.
The first leg finished 2-2 in italy leaving the Premier League side on considerably more preferred standpoint to advance to the quarter final stage of the competition.
Commenting after the game, Pochettino told Newmen, "In under three minutes we suffered two goals – two major errors – and that is the reason we are out,' he said.
'In the two legs we played excellently.
I feel glad.
We played a good football until we made those errors.
Obviously we are exceptionally frustrated however it is a piece of developing. We will continue progressing.
However, Chelsea and Manchester united could join Manchester city in the quarter final next week if they overcome challenges from sevilla and Barcelona respectively.
