Police Command in Ondo state on Wednesday said it had captured a truck driver, Juwon Ariyibi, for supposedly killing two individuals with a truck at Ipele, in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State .
Acording to reports from the Police pro representative, Mr. Femi Joseph, the mishap happened on Monday while the victim, Pastor Oluwajuwon Adebayo and Pastor Sunday Ajenifuja, were riding on a motocycle.
Aside from being a man of God, Joseph said the accident victims were additionally grade teachers at L.A. Grade School, Igbatoro/Familugba, in the Akure North LGA of the state.
He clarified that the victims were heading off to their work environment when the incident erupted.
It was accumulated that immediately the two teachers were hit by the truck, they were taken to the Federal hospital ondo state by some helpers.
However the two teachers later passed away.
Their bodies have been kept in a morgue.
The police command pro says it was the drivers recklessness that caused the accident while coming from port-harcourt.
" We found that he lost the control of the vehicle and swerved off to the next path where he smashed the victims, who were on a bike. "
He said the driver has been detained at the police headquaters and would be charged to court after the fulfillment of further investigation into the matter.
