Police recover 39 stolen cars in Osun
Police force in osun state, says it has recovered 39 stolen vehicles around January and February this year.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, said this while attending to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.
He revealed that the force had declared the seizure 19 vehicles on January 30 while prosecuting suspects.
Adeoye revealed that another 20 vehicles have recently been seized making it 39, and the enrollment number of the vehicles had been changed.
"The osun state residents must know that police detectives are not relenting in their duty. We recently recovered another 20 vehicles stolen by the criminals that we paraded for stealing 19 vehicles on January 30.
"We found that some of the vehicles were grabbed at gunpoint. We have arranged the subtle elements of the vehicle for the real owners to come and claim.
He praised the Special Anti-Robbery Squads for their diligent work, enthusiasm and devotion to guaranteeing that threat to the lives and properties is brought down in the state.
Adeoye revealed that eight residents have met the police force to claim their vehicles asking whoever has lost his/her vehicle, to please take adequate steps in recovering thier stolen cars.
