David Umahi on Tuesday revealed that the expanding conflicts between Fulani Herdsmen and local farmers had relatively destroyed the country.
The governor of Ebonyi state made this known in a developed security meeting between all security boss, the 13 committee directors and Herdsmen which occurred at the exco-chambers government house, Abakaliki.
David umahi cautioned that any herders that graze cows and destroy farmers crops or injure any state resident's will be detained for one year and will pay money for the product, including that same discipline would be given to a farmer who slaughtered any herdsmen cow.
"Any fulani herdsmen found grazing cow in the night will be arrested, there ought to be no grazing of dairy animals in the night. This is our arrangement.
"I am directing the security officers in the state with my authority as the chief security officer, to do thier work diligently. If any herders is seen grazing cow in the night, he should be arrested immediately."
This security meeting is critical and I need it to be appropriately detailed down. The conclusion of this gathering will be sent to the President of Miyata-Allah to know our stand.
"No herders should move around again during the evening. It is illegal of miyata-allah. No touching around evening time. The law does not allow dairy animals to move during the evening.
Those herders that have being living respectively with our villagers should keep on living in peace and that is our stand.
