Conte explains why Alonso did not feature in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over West Brom


Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has opened up on why he dropped left wing defender Marcos Alonso in the club's 3-0 victory against West Brom yesterday.

Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and Moses scored, to guarantee the club go away with the full three point needed.

Conte said the left wing defender endured crisp damage blow in training which has discounted him of Chelsea's Premier League game against West Brom.

Conte revealed to Sky Sports: "The Spaniard in training on Saturday damaged his lower leg. He has this damage and hence, he isn't playing.
