Boko Haram attacks girls school in Yobe


Boko Haram attackers launched another deadly attack on a boarding school in the Northern part of Nigeria yet the school students and educators ran for their safety, witnesses said Monday.

A team of suspected boko haram terrorist in pickup trucks entered Dapchi town in the Bursari territory of Yobe state around 6pm focusing on the school, a resident Sheriff Aisami told AFP.

" When they raged the town they started shooting and setting off explosives, " Aisami said.

" This alerted the attention of the young ladies in the Girls Science Secondary School, so the young ladies and the educators escaped before the assailants got into the school. "

The Boko Haram terrorist was unable to kidnap the school girls before escaping into the bush, while the insurgents loots the school properties before escaping.

" It was a recent attack on the young ladies auxiliary school in Dapchi by BokoHaram, " said an individual from a neighborhood non military personnel state army combating the radicals.

" Particularly the attack was intended to kidnap the school young ladies however fortunately they discovered none of the young ladies as they were taken away by their teachers before they arrived, " said the volunteer army part, who declined to give his name to newsmen.

Military planes were launched and are presently in chase on the terrorist.

Furthermore its not yet revealed weather residence was hurt in the attack

The attack was a similar one with the deadly attack on the chibok community, which saw 200 school girls kidnapped from school in 2014.

The chibok girls attack drew a lot of international criticism during the Goodluck Jonathan Administration.
