A legendary astronaut of the US John Young has died at the age of 87.
Young with a mind blowing record during his life time went into space six times, orbited the moon and then walked on its craggy surface.

The news of his death was announced by NASA on Saturday as it reported he died late Friday of complications from pneumonia.
Another amazing fact about Young was that he lived in a Houston suburb just minutes from the NASA Space Center.
According to NASA administrator, Robert Lightfoot, he made it know that NASA and the world at large will miss the great pioneer.
"We will stand on his shoulders as we look toward the next human frontier."
Further information revealed, Young was almost the first in major discovery, he is the only astronaut to fly in the Gemini, Apollo and space shuttle programs, he is the first to command a shuttle flight and the first astronaut to fly into space six times.
He once had the world record for total time spent in space.
Back in 1983, he flew in the space shuttle Columbia which was his last flight into space.
Aside from being an Astronaut, Young was also described as a savvy engineer and a "test pilot's test pilot."
