- Size of Nuclear Botton: White House throws weight behind Trump, says Americans should be worried about Kim Jung's mental fitness not Trump's
As the argument of who has the biggest size of nuclear bottom continue between the US Pres., Donald Trump and N'Korea Leader, Kim Jong Un, the White House Yesterday threw it weight behind Donald Trump’s tweet about the size of his nuclear button, while informing Americans to be concerned about the North Korean leader’s mental fitness, not their president‘s.
Trump had taken to his favourite social media handle, Twitter to respond to a New Year’s Day speech from North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, where he warned he had a nuclear button on his desk by saying that his nuclear button “is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”
However, Trump's tweet didn't go down well with some American citizens like Trump’s Democratic opponents and ex US Vice President Joe Biden, who termed it dangerously cavalier.
The White House spokeswoman, Sara Sanders, when asked in a regular news briefing if Americans should be worried about the president’s mental fitness after he appeared to be speaking so lightly about nuclear threats, said;
”The president and the people of this country should be concerned about the mental fitness of the leader of North Korea."
She said the mental fitness of Kim calls for concern as he had made repeated threats, tested missiles from time to time despite sanctions from world bodies. She said Trump was only making sure that he fulfilled his promise which is to stand up and protect the American people.
The two leaders have been know for hauling repeated insults in recent months over North Korea’s refusal to drop it nuclear program which according to information was capable of reaching the United States.
While the UN is looking at the prospect of a diplomatic solution to solve the issue between America and N'Korea, both sides have continue to threaten to destroy each other.
