- Wanted President of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir spotted at OIC emergency meeting in Turkey
During the Organization of Islamic Cooperation emergency meeting that took place Today at Istanbul in Turkey, the wanted leader of African country,Sudan, President Omar al-Bashir, was spotted.
Omar is wanted by the world body for a wide range of genocide in addition to war crimes in Sudan.
Pres. Bashir, attended the OIC meeting called by Chairman and Turkish leader President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to decide the next action to carry out following US President Donald Trump declaration of Jerusalem as Isreal's capital which was against the Islamic world thought.
From the picture of Bashir taken in Turkey, he was seen to be in a warm mood as he was welcomed by Erdogan.
President Omar al-Bashir will be remembered for Sudan’s deadly conflict with minority groups who were against his government back in 2003.
The war led to the death of at least 300,000 people and over 2.5 million people displaced as compiled by the UN.
Other leaders present at the OIC meeting include the President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, King of Jordan, Abdullah II, President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun among others.
The only odd leader at the meeting was the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, owing to the fact that the country has little or no Muslim population but is against US policy.
