South American country,Peru held it Congress Yesterday during which most law makers voted for the removal of the country's President, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski in the coming week.
The main reason for the removal is owing to the allegations that the President received bribes from Brazilian contractor Odebrecht.
The Peru congress houses a total of 130 legislators but during the impeachment process yesterday, Ninety-three legislators supported the motion to debate impeachment of the President come December 21.
According to the head of Peru’s single-chamber Congress, Luis Galarreta, he said; “This decision will be communicated to the president to exercise his right to defense (during the next session) and assist with a lawyer if required,”

According to the opposition party which controls the legislature, it said it would commence the impeachment proceedings if the president did not resign before or on next week Thursday.
With this latest development Pres. Kuczynski seems not be worried as he said via a televised speech “I am not going to abdicate my honor, my values or my responsibilities as president."
The President who was backed up by his ministers said he work with the Congress and office of the attorney general. He further added;
“I won’t run, I won’t hide nor do I have any reason to do so.”
Pres. Kuczynski is being persecuted because he was the economy minister vis-a-vis head of cabinet for ex president Alejandro Toledo, whom Odebrecht paid $20 million in bribe to win a contract managing a highway project, the company said.
