APC government critic Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has said the present shortage of fuel in the nation was a ploy by the Federal Government to legitimize the arranged augmentation of petroleum draw cost from N145 to N185 per liter.
The Ekiti state governor, who blamed the Federal Government for being obtuse to the predicament of Nigerians, stated: "Petroleum is not available all over the nation over fact that the Federal Government intentionally decreased supply since it is just the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC, that is bringing in the item."
Governor Fayose in an announcement yesterday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, included: "Permitting fuel shortage to hold on for more than two weeks when Nigerians are getting ready to observe Christmas and New Year is the stature of evil with respect to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Federal Government.
"Sufficiently entertaining, rather than guiding its outrage to President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the Minister of Petroleum, on December 7, 2017, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) give the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe
Kachikwu seven days final proposal to end the fuel shortage."
The governor believe this kind of treatment shouldn't be given to Nigerians during the yuletide period
