Two people identifying themselves as agents of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), have been captured by Rivers police force.
The criminals; Kenneth Obunwa, and Oluwagbenga Abe, were caught on Tuesday morning at Igwuruta close Port Harcourt in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers state.
The state head of SARS, Akin Fakorode while parading the suspects, said they were captured after the force got a call around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
He stated: "F-SARS got a call that Obunwa and Abe, who asserted to be agents of F-SARS, greeted Pastor Finan and his more youthful sibling and subjected them to pressure in their compound at Igwuruta, with undisclosed entirety of cash blackmailed from them.
"The criminals disguised as agents of F-SARS and they have been doing it for some time.
"We immediately reacted to the trouble call, in light of the fact that the individuals from general society enough used the lines that we gave. We followed the impersonators and we captured them.
"We have a considerable measure of heels who are imitating security agents particularly F-SARS, in this way irritating, scaring and blackmailing cash from guiltless individuals from the public,who should be extremely careful.
