Efcc reacts to rumour of Magu sacked as the commission chairman

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has responded to rumour that Ibrahim Magu would be
Dismissed as the acting executive of the anti corruption body system in Nigeria.

In a post conveyed from its official handle on Tuesday morning, the commission demanded "there is no replacement of chairman for now".

The recent post read: "#Alert: For the clearance  of any uncertainty, there is no "replacement of chairman" at the EFCC. Ibrahim Magu remains the acting EFCC Chairman.

" Rumour spreaders of propaganda concerning the EFCC are therefore cautioned to stop from such devilishness as the EFCC stays focused on its main goal."

Recently, the Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee on Anti-Corruption, PACAC, Prof. Itse Sagay, additionally rejected rumours that Magu has been sacked.

His 'sack rumour' has been a subject of civil argument over the most recent couple of days, following the assertion by the Nigerian Senate that he isn't recognized as EFCC administrator.
