Traveller's feared dead in imo tanker's explosion

No less than 20 traveller's lost their lives yesterday in a car accident, at Njaba connect, along the busy road of Owerri-
Umuaka-Okwudor-Orlu government interstate.
The car accident included a tanker loaded with about 33,000 liters of petrol, and a completely loaded 18-seater business transport.

As indicated by a passerby, the tanker that was made heading to Owerri, all of a sudden lost control while climbing the slope on the Njaba Bridge and began moving in reverse before it burst into blazes, which overwhelmed on an eighteen seater transport that was following behind and consumed the entire passengers to death

Talking with newsmen, the state commandant of FRSC, Kayode Aremu, who affirmed the disaster, said he his yet
to be given the actual figure of the deceased.

Aremu stated, "My men are at the scene of the occurrence on save mission and controlling movement.

"We have not determined the reason for the mishap and we try not to have the loss figure yet."

On his part, the state Police Pro, Andrew
Enwerem, stated, "Promptly we learnt of the occurrence, the force immediately reached proficient fire fighters.
