Champions League: Owen names three clubs Liverpool should fear to meet


Previous Liverpool attacker, Michael Owen has named the three clubs the EPL  side should fear in the Champions League after they advanced to the quarter-finals stage of the competition.

Liverpool ended thier game in 0-0 draw with Porto on Tuesday yet qualified for last-eight, after winning first leg 5-0 away in Portugal.

Madrid also qualified with Liverpool to the quaterfinals with an amazing win over Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester City and Tottenham can stick to this same pattern in their home ties on Wednesday evening.

Mourinho's Manchester United will play Sevilla next week Tuesday, before Chelsea go to the Nou Camp to face Barcelona the next day.

Owen, a previous England forward, said the following round will be an intense play with anybody they pair with Liverpool, yet says three clubs are a big threat to the Red Side.

Owen, who additionally played for Real Madrid, said Man City are not part of the teams Liverpool can fear.

"Liverpool should be careful of Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern Munich, they are the formidable resistance in the league."

However, Michael Owen stated that with the performance of the Red side this current season, they can advance to the semi final stage of the competition.
