Falana reveals how to end herdsmen, farmers’ clashes
Femi Falana, Human Right Activist on Tuesday asked the Federal Government to prosecute the herders as a method for solving the recent conflicts between the criminals and agriculturists in the nation.
The Lawyer stated in an announcement titled: "How to end internal conflicts between herders and farmers."
He stated: "With farms and abattoirs built up in a couple of states, meat would be set up in substantial scale and distributed all through the nation and also exported to other nations.
"When farms and abattoirs are set up in Nigeria, all questionable anti grazing bill would end, while Governor Fayose would not have any premise to endanger the lives of hunters in Ekiti State by regrouping and arming them with local firearms to stand up against AK 47-bearing herders!
"This are the ideas that have been used in Botswana which is the biggest maker and exporter of meat in Africa. The African nation of 2.2 million individuals with a dairy cattle populace of more than 3 million has effectively halted vicious conflicts amongst agriculturists and cows herders."
Falana lamented that the government had from the beginning been giving the feelings that the outfitted herders were nationals of Senegal, Mali, Niger and Libya.
Falana told the fg to prosecute and disarm the criminals irrespective from where they come from
